Amsteel Continuous Loop Ripstop by the Roll

Is there anyone who can make me some amsteel continuous loops to use in conjunction with my swaider/knaider and hawk heliums? I do not really have the time to mess with it and would rather just buy some if possible. I have four sticks so would need 8 continuous loops. Thank you in advance!

@skyjacker what do you recommend for the length? 8" or 15"?

If you're using sticks you may not need continuous loops. There's another thread where guys are using the swaider without a carabiner and looping it over the top steps and using the knaider right on the step. I'm going to be switching to swaider with no biner on mine and test this weekend.

Please let us know how your test goes. I currently have aiders on my Heliums but I would like to do something different. I am on the fence about using a knaider/swaider on climbing sticks. I don't want to buy them if it's not going to work well.

@DanO Did you ever do the test? I searched for the thread you referenced but I could not find it. I have Heliums and a Knaider/swaider. I wanted to see how others have fared using this system. I am also looking into getting some Stepps to use the Knaider/swaider with but it would be easier and cheaper just to keep the Heliums. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a video I made that came to be known as the swaider after Peter invented the knaider.

I've used the Swaider on multiple hunts now with Heliums and my DIY with DoubleSteps. I made a long one so could loop it over the top so it rests on the top tree bracket. Worked fine. It was a quick and dirty swaider - continuous loop of tubular webbing. A lighter weight version with loops on both ends would be better. Mine was a shorter swaider since I didn't use with a knaider.

That's what I'm currently using. I have a double step tubular webbing aider tied to my bottom stick and I use a moveable continuous loop of tubular webbing for the other two sticks. I bought a Knaider/swaider from JCline. I was thinking about using it with WE Stepps. People either seem to love or hate those Stepps, I will probably get a set if 5 Stepps so I can try them for myself but, for now, I was wondering if I could use the Knaider/swaider on my Heliums. The Swaider is too short as is to reach the top of the sticks so to use it, I would have to attach it to the middle step on one side. Then, I would have to use the Knaider and attach it to the bottom step or a continuous loop of Amsteel. I have not tried any of this yet but it seems a little sketchy hooking that strap to
one side. You stated that there were others doing this but I couldn't find the thread.

I've watched that video a couple times. I was hoping to use the Knaider/swaider I just got from JCline but the Swaider is too short to hook to the top. I would have to hook it to the middle step. I will probably just stick with my continuous loop of tubular webbing, put a castration band on it to hold it to my boot and climb the way you show in your video. I might save the Knaider/swaider for the WE Stepps I will probably be ordering.

So, I bought the 8" continuous amsteel loop like people recommended and there isn't enough to wrap around the helium stick. I can thread it through the last hole in the step though? anyone have a picture of their continuous loop on their hawk heliums?

That's why I was thinking 15" I thought 8" would be tight. I haven't done it yet though

I made a couple out of 1/8 Amsteel, 8" wasn't to hard.

No, I made them to hook a Aider to my Beast stick.

I'm finishing up a set of homemade sticks waiting on my double steps to arrive. I'd like to add loops for knaider swadier. What length is recommended for this ? I'm assuming the 8 will be ok but 15 might be easier to hook?
